climbing the ladder

did the midterm for level 2 oilpatch accounting today... 82%! YES!!!

somehow managed to walk away from the harp enough to study.

onward!

the poly cover over the strawberries in early spring has paid off. i'm picking strawberries for breakfast every day, and had about 3/4 of a gallon to freeze a day or 2 ago. they're just beginning to REALLY produce, and heavy with ripening berries, so i should have more berries than ever in my wildest dreams over the winter. :o) And the diatomaceous earth has kept the slugs at bay. i'm getting more berries than the crawlies are!

Hi,

Oh that's great! Right on! 82% is nothing to sneeze at--good for you!

Hurrah for the strawberries!

Where do you get your diatomaceous earth? The only way I can get the garden grade D.E. is to mail order it.

janice - i got some very expensive diatomaceous earth from a mail order garden catalogue. then noticed that the local farm supply store sells it for feeding to calves, for a fraction of the price. i pd $15 or so for a little bitty 1 or 2 pound bag, mail order, then pd $22 for about 40 pounds!

granny - this morning i'm covered with hives... think i may have developed an allergy to the marvelous strawberries. drat!

lindsay - mouthwatering verse. as i said just above, something has given me an allergic reaction. most likely cause is the berries. which i love. yet to be determined for sure. sigh

mum - i went for lunch on friday with a realtor friend, to celebrate. complete with a glass of wine!
